Application and Usage:
The recommended dosage for DSR-8615 is 0.5-1.0% (in finished form), and the specific dosage should be based on experiments; Before use, adjust the pH value of the thickening system to 8-9 with alkali, then dilute DSR-8615 with water in a ratio of 1:2, slowly add it under low-speed stirring, and stir thoroughly for more than 30 minutes.
DSR-8615 has good applications in high, medium, and low PVC systems. Due to its high crosslinking degree, it is recommended to use the viscosity of the coating after 24 hours of preparation for the first time to prevent rapid increase in system viscosity caused by excessive dosage.
DSR-8615 is insensitive to lotion and emulsifiers, and has strong versatility in various formulation systems, which can completely replace HEC high molecular weight cellulose thickener.
DSR-8615 can effectively improve low shear viscosity, making the coating highly pseudoplastic. It can be used as the main thickener or as a co thickener to achieve excellent thickening effect.
The coating with DSR-8615 as the main thickener has a very high yield value, which is suitable for preparing brushed paint with pointed three-dimensional pattern effect. If you want to achieve round headed or orange peel pattern effect, we recommend using it in combination with DSR-8020 to improve water resistance and achieve ideal leveling performance.
