Product Description

DSR-8020 is a solvent-free, hydrophobic modified polyurethane rheology agent that can effectively improve high shear viscosity, endow interior and exterior wall coatings with excellent flow and leveling properties, gloss display, and improve film-forming properties. It has strong association with the surface of lotion particles, so it has certain thickening effect on lotion with fine particle size. Excellent formula compatibility with cellulose thickeners and alkali swelling thickeners, allowing coating designers to freely choose the appropriate combination of cellulose thickeners and alkali swelling thickeners based on desired performance.

Application and Usage:
DSR-8020 adds 0.3-2.0% (in finished form) to the total amount of coating; Can be added directly, slowly added under low-speed stirring; It is recommended to add lotion before adding it to obtain high gloss presentation.
DSR-8020 is designed for a wide range of coating formulations and can be used to formulate interior and exterior wall coatings ranging from matte to glossy. It exhibits excellent performance in styrene acrylic, pure acrylic, and acetate acrylic systems, providing particularly outstanding leveling and film fullness.
DSR-8020 has a strong association with the surface of lotion particles, so it has a certain thickening effect on lotion with fine particle size.
DSR-8020 has excellent formula compatibility with cellulose thickeners and alkali swelling thickeners, allowing coating designers to freely choose the appropriate combination of cellulose thickeners and alkali swelling thickeners based on their desired performance.
DSR-8020 is not recommended to be used alone as a thickener, but rather as a rheological modifier to achieve excellent flowability, which can effectively improve high shear viscosity. It does not contain organic volatiles and can be used for low odor and low VOC coatings, providing high gloss, microbial resistance, and mold resistance.
